2Data We Collect

Email addresses for authentication and user approval

Metadata of uploaded files (name, size, type)

IP address and timestamps (for security and auditing)

NEWGDPR / DSGVO Compliance

FilerMan is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO). All personal data is handled with the highest standards of privacy and encryption. When using our optional Security+ End-to-End Encryption, files are encrypted directly in your browser and only decryptable with the secret key that is never sent to our servers.

We do not store or process unencrypted file content when Security+ is active.
The decryption key is only held by the client and included in the session URL fragment (#key=...), which is never sent to the server.
All data is stored in Switzerland or GDPR-compliant regions.
You may delete or request deletion of all associated data at any time.

3Data Usage

We use your data exclusively to operate the service, ensure security, and allow file sharing between users. Your data will never be sold.

4Data Deletion

Important: Uploaded files may be deleted automatically or manually at any time. We are not obligated to retain your data.

5Cookies

FilerMan may use cookies for session management. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are used.

6Third Parties

We use Clerk for authentication. Data may be shared with them in accordance with their privacy policy.

7Your Rights
